The Parkdale Project
One of our recent portfolio shoots for a High Level Renovation who transformed this property into something truly special. The renovation included a new pool, pool house, sauna, and a beautifully reimagined interior featuring soaring ceilings and a striking glass-front wine cellar.
Projects like this are a reminder that great design often lives in the details. Natural stone, timber, glass, reflections, and changing light all interact differently throughout the day, creating a space that feels rich, layered, and full of character.
Capturing those materials accurately takes time and care, but the result speaks for itself. A remarkable project and a fantastic addition to the builder’s portfolio.

Therapeutic Pillow Australia
Therapeutic Pillow make beautifully crafted pillows for every kind of sleep and lifestyle. But this shoot was never really about pillows alone. It was about the comfort people look for.
We created several lifestyle shoots built around real moments: children falling asleep on the couch, couples relaxing at home, people working, resting, reading. Every shoot involved close collaboration with the company’s marketing director or product manager, whose role was to make sure the product looked its absolute best, while our role as a photographesr was to shape the light, direct the atmosphere, and capture moments that felt natural, relaxed, and genuinely human.

Montblanc boutique
The brief for the Montblanc boutique on Collins Street was to capture the newly redesigned store before the city fully woke up. We began shooting at 7am, working through the quiet hours before opening, and later returned separately to photograph the storefront in that rare moment when the flow of cars and pedestrians briefly disappeared.
The challenge of the space was its narrow layout and dramatic contrast — deep blacks, bright whites, reflective surfaces, and intricate details that needed to remain perfectly balanced without losing the elegance of the interior design.
Our goal was to create images that felt as refined and intentional as the boutique itself: a space designed for people who appreciate craftsmanship, precision, and the quiet luxury of feeling, even for a moment, like the centre of the universe.

Building Trust in a Single Frame
This shoot was created for a strategic advisor who helps business owners make sense of their finances, improve their systems, and plan for growth.
My job was to create visuals that help people understand who Nigel is before they ever meet him. Choosing a business advisor is a big decision. Clients want to know they are speaking to someone they can trust with important decisions, challenges, and the future of their business.
Many of Nigel's clients are very successful. They don't come looking for someone to save their business — they come looking for structure and guidance on what comes next.

Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill
For this project, Palermo Joinery, a Melbourne company creating high-quality timber windows and doors, invited me to photograph their work at Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill. My focus was not really the restaurant itself, but the atmosphere of the space: the way the floor-to-ceiling windows filled the interiors with natural light while still creating a feeling of warmth, privacy, and calm.
The lower half of the doors was finished with reeded glass, producing soft shadows, reflections, and blurred silhouettes throughout the day. My goal was to make the viewer feel the space rather than simply document it, to capture the quiet luxury of a place designed for slow lunches, good wine, and long afternoons in the Red Hill region.

Texture, Light & Simplicity in Design
A recent shoot for architect Carlos Lara, whose work has a remarkable sense of balance. His projects combine the simplicity of minimalism with rich materials, texture, and carefully chosen details, creating spaces that feel both restrained and full of character.
This project is a great example of how thoughtful design doesn't need excess. The beauty comes from proportion, light, materials, and the confidence to let each element speak for itself.

Editorial Portraits for Magazines
Editorial portraits for magazines are not just images - they are moments distilled into a single frame. Each publication has its own language, its own aesthetic, and my job is to tell a story before a single word is read.
Over the years, I’ve worked as an editorial photographer across different countries, adapting my work to each magazine’s voice. The result is portraits that feel both editorial and intimate - images that give readers a sense of who the person truly is, while honoring each publication’s unique vision.

Alcaston cozy studio
This shoot had a very specific goal: helping this beautifully designed studio enter the premium Airbnb market.
Overlooking Melbourne's historic Old Treasury Building, the apartment already had two things guests look for most — an exceptional location and a thoughtfully designed interior. Our job was to create photographs that communicate both within a few seconds of someone scrolling through listings.
Small spaces can be surprisingly challenging to photograph well, but this studio had plenty of natural light, a calm atmosphere, and carefully selected furnishings that made it feel much larger than its footprint. The result is a portfolio of images designed not just to show the space, but to help future guests imagine themselves staying there.

Marc Cam Home loans
Mark Cam has been a loyal client of Vasileff Studio for several years, and over time we’ve created a number of editorial branding shoots together. As a result, he would usually receive around ten carefully crafted images for brochures, websites, and advertising.
This time, we wanted to try something different: social media content that still felt artistic and refined, but more dynamic and alive. We moved faster, changed locations and outfits more often, and created a much larger body of work without losing the cinematic feel of the original branding shoots.
People often spend months searching for the right home, and during that process they are also choosing the right mortgage broker, someone they may continue working with for years through refinancing, future investments, and bigger financial decisions. The role becomes much more personal than people expect. These images were created to show not just the service, but the person behind it.

Thermeco team
Thermeco, a world leader in energy-efficient window and door systems, wanted something far removed from the polished commercial photography. The idea was to create a black-and-white series inspired by old European cinema, something atmospheric, textured, and slightly nostalgic.
We photographed the company’s founders, its current director, and the factory itself. The factory felt less like a manufacturing site and more like a scene from a Fellini film. Grainy light, strong contrasts, characters moving through smoke and steel, all of it came together like frames from an old black-and-white movie.

Resorative Prosthetics Implant Centre
A quick social media shoot for Restorative Prosthetics Implant Centre, created to capture the everyday rhythm of the laboratory and the people behind the work.
When it comes to social media content, the goal is often very different from a large branding or advertising production. You need variety, authenticity, and enough content to keep your communication active for months to come. That means moving quickly, capturing real moments, and focusing on genuine interactions rather than spending twenty minutes perfecting every frame.
That's exactly the purpose of these fast-paced content sessions. In just a short amount of time, we can create a substantial library of professional, natural-looking images that show your business as it really is.
Do we offer this type of shoot? Absolutely. And we love doing them.

Renovation for a big house in Silvan
One of our recent shoots for a renovation company — a beautiful collaboration between the builder and the interior design team, where every detail was planned from the very beginning. From furniture selection and flooring to colours, textures, and finishing touches, the entire space was designed to work together as one cohesive story.
We spent four hours photographing the project, creating 30 final images and two short Instagram reels designed to help the team showcase their work online.
Projects like this are always a reminder that great results rarely happen by accident. They come from good planning, good design, and a lot of people caring about the details.

Flawless you
A lot of people think social media content and advertising content are the same thing. They’re not.
For this shoot, we created both photo and video for a beauty specialist promoting a specific treatment. The goal wasn't to create lots of content — it was to create the right content. The kind that helps people understand the service and feel confident booking it.
Sometimes less content and a stronger message is exactly what a business needs.

Lord Mayor's Charitable Foundation
The challenge of this project for Lord Mayor’s Charitable was documenting the transformation of the space from start to finish. We photographed the site on the very first day before construction had begun, capturing empty floors and bare walls. We used the architectural plans as a reference to understand where the future walls and different elements of the project would eventually be located.
The second shoot focused on the people working on the project while construction was in progress. The final shoot took place after completion, when the first tenants had moved into the newly opened office space. We recreated the same camera positions from the initial shoot to capture the full transformation.

Goodride Tyres Australia
We recently wrapped up a 4-hour studio shoot for Goodride Tyres Australia, capturing the warehouse interiors, the team, and a series of lifestyle images built around tire products used across different industries. The idea was to create content that feels real and lived-in — showcasing not just the products and the space, but also the people who make it all happen, with visuals that can live across marketing and the website.

Art Reflecting the Space Around It
A recent shoot featuring the beautiful work of artist Marc Freeman. Each piece is designed to interact with its surroundings through a highly polished surface that reflects light, architecture, and the space around it. As a result, the artwork is never quite the same twice — every interior creates a different visual experience.
We photographed these works in the home where they will ultimately live. The challenge was preserving the reflective quality that makes the pieces so unique while still allowing the viewer to see the artwork itself. Through careful control of angles, lighting, and reflections, our goal was to reveal as much of the surface as possible without losing the relationship between the artwork and its environment.
Art like this doesn't simply hang on a wall — it becomes part of the space around it.

LiveWell Health
A recent photo and video shoot for a chiropractor and his team. The goal was to create enough content for a brand-new website, so we photographed and filmed everything in the same session. The main shoot took five hours, and we came back on a separate day for a quick interior shoot while the clinic was closed.
One interesting thing about healthcare photography is that you rarely photograph real patients. Privacy always comes first. Instead, many practitioners invite friends and regular clients who are already familiar with the treatments. It makes the whole experience feel much more natural and comfortable for everyone involved.
By the end of the shoot, the clinic had a complete library of images and videos ready for the website, Google profile, and future marketing.

Vetro Furniture
Over two focused days, Vasileff Studio completed a stylish photoshoot for a high-end furniture store, covering everything from dining tables to a wide range of chair sets with an eye toward both atmosphere and accuracy.
Half the shoot unfolded within carefully styled interiors, where pieces were arranged to suggest real, lived-in spaces and to show how different combinations of chairs can shape a room’s character; the other half was devoted to clean, white-background product photography, capturing each item with clarity and consistency for use across catalogues and e-commerce. The result is a complete visual suite designed to both inspire customers and give them a precise, trustworthy view of every piece.

Sophisticated Home Reno
We’re excited to share our latest shoot for Vasileff Studio, capturing the essence of a sophisticated home renovation that beautifully blends elegance with functionality.
The new design brings a bright, contemporary feel while maintaining a sense of solidity and timeless appeal. This thoughtfully reimagined residence features a stunning outdoor area, complete with a pool - perfect for relaxed, sun-soaked afternoons.
Our goal with this shoot was to capture the essence of the transformation, showcasing both the architectural evolution and the welcoming ambiance of the home.
A sophisticated home renovation by High Level Renovations, completed in 2021.

Criterion Team Portraits
VasileffStudio collaborated with Criterion Industries to capture a series of refined portraits showcasing their management team as visionary creators. The resulting portraits reveal the people behind the precision—smart, driven individuals shaping the built environment with care and creativity.

European Simplicity for Studio Hals
A recent shoot for an architect who created this beautiful two-storey home just minutes from Melbourne CBD. Clean lines, restrained materials, and a distinctly European approach to minimalism make this project feel calm, elegant, and timeless.
One of the challenges of the shoot was showing just how close the property is to the city. Normally, this might be achieved with drone photography, but in this case we needed a different solution. Instead, we used a specialised extension pole to raise the camera several metres above the balcony, allowing us to capture the surrounding city views and give a much stronger sense of the home's location.
Sometimes architectural photography is simply about finding creative ways to tell the full story of a project.

Artistic apartment near Albert Park
Projects like this are slightly different from architectural or interior design photography. When a property is being prepared for the luxury Airbnb market, the goal is not only to showcase the design, but to help the investment perform. The photography needs to answer practical questions guests ask while browsing listings: Where will I have my morning coffee? How much natural light does the apartment get? Is there enough space to relax, work, or entertain?
For this reason, we focus more on lifestyle and functionality than on documenting every design detail. The objective is simple: create photographs that help future guests imagine themselves staying there and encourage them to book.
